Aside from Kim Hansen being an investigative researcher, writer, illustrator and self-publishing her own children's books in paperback, including a wide variety of formats--Kindle, Nook, Kobo and Smashwords--she has also prepared, formatted and uploaded paperback, eBook, and iBook editions for other bestselling authors, including true crime author Sherrie Lueder, and co-authors John Hansen, and Tyson Wrensch, and Amazon bestselling author Carrie Shubert.
Since the release of her own book projects, Kim has been approached by other authors inquiring about book formatting services. Therefore, she has decided to offer paperback, eBook, and iBook formatting, creation and uploading as a paid service. If you are planning to self-publish your own book projects, just the thought of it can be overwhelming. Kim is very knowledgeable of the self-publishing business and is here to help you succeed.
For your convenience, below is a general overview of what to expect, as far as the pricing and what the services include.

Pricing
$100 General formatting of paperback and eBooks from author's word processor manuscript. Price includes formatting for paperback and conversion/formatting and Table of Contents for Kindle, Nook, and Kobo pursuant to the respective publisher's guidelines. Author to provide final cover artwork in jpg format to include with eBooks. This price refers to novel-style books, including children's and YA chapter books. Custom quotes are available for all other types of books, such as poetry books, self-help books, guidebooks, etc.
+$30 Additional formatting fee for books with a length of over 120,000 words
+$30 Additional fee for decorative graphic elements, such as chapter heading vignettes (decorative designs), and up to four photos/illustrations
+$30 Additional illustrations and/or graphic elements (maximum 40); $1.00 for each additional photo/illustration and graphic elements. (Custom quotes are available for children's picture books.)
+$30 Preparation of a Smashwords document file according to Smashwords' Style Guide. The file will be converted for inclusion into Smashwords' Premium Catalog.
+$100 Additional fee for setting up author accounts and uploading the paperback, eBook, and iBook formats for you to Createspace, Kindle Direct Publishing, Kobo, Nook Press, and Smashwords.
EXCESSIVE 'CLEAN-UP': If the manuscript requires excessive clean-up prior to formatting, additional fees may be applied. In that case, author will be notified prior to commencement of any work.
COPYRIGHT PAGE: I reserve the right to include my name, Kim Hansen, in the book’s credits as the paperback, eBook, and iBook formatter, complete with an email link. Since this is a form of advertisement for me, this is reflected in my fees outlined above. If, however, you do not want to include the formatting credit in your book, please be advised an additional $50 fee will be added to the total package price.
PAYMENT: For your convenience, I accept PayPal or checks. To get started, once you agree upon a package, I will email you an invoice. I require 50% down. Upon completion of the project, and once the remaining 50% has been received, I will email you all the necessary files and fully built paperback and eBooks, along with the source HTML and document files for you to upload. I will keep you updated throughout the formatting process. If you choose the package where I would set up your author accounts and upload all the formats, I will email you the files as soon as each book has been accepted by the publisher. I will keep you updated on the conversion and publishing process.
